Anyone know what year and who made this frame and fork. Thinking about buying it just would like some more info on this since badge is missing. Thx

Fork looks like a Westfield built “hairpin” truss rods for the fairly less common taller frame (5” head) motorbike. Frame looks to be 1930 or earlier due to the reinforcement band style of joint for the truss tube.

A good candidate for a Hendee “Indian” tribute motorbike project.

Date is determined by the serial number prefix; e.g., A = 1923, and so forth.

The challenge might be obtaining one of the undersized proprietary crank set and 20 tpi cone and bearing set. Looks like the headset hardware is still there; it should also be 26 tpi and proprietary size, ~31mm.

A member Scott has reproduction Indian head badges from time to time.

Hi @oldiron73

As @Archie Sturmer says, likely a Westfield made bicycle, late 1920's to early 1930's.

This 1928 Westfield from @pkleppert shows similar characteristics. The serial number (on the bb) would help us date it more accurately, if you'll share it?

Best Regards,

Adrian
