THEGOLDENGREEK

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Was found in a garage hanging of the wall. The original owner is still alive and his kids wanted nothing to do with it. I've never seen this color before on a manton@smith. Has horn in tank and cool design on the tank and the floating rear rack. This would be a great oa bath to bring back the color on the frame. I know there is no way to date these bikes. I'm thinking pre war. Any info would be great!

That is a cool design on the side of the tank great find right there

Neat bike. It's weird how it has rear dropouts but not a hanging tank. I have the same tank on one of mine but it has forward dropouts.

Nice find! I'm thinking prewar too. It kind of reminds me of that 1940 Snyder built American Flyer I got from you.

Nice bike. Probably a 40 or 41. Looks alot like the one in this thread from 2015.https://thecabe.com/forum/posts/462401/

Oh yeah, you found that one too!

If it's like one of mine it has the same tank as earlier hanging tank with odd brackets inside that space the tank half's out (the width of the frame) that make it look wider. I always thought the were late pre-early post war, with that style chain ring, rack and fat tank brackets I lean more just post but there's not much literature out there so who knows, anybody got any info?, I have them badged as Manton & Smith 'GOLDEN EAGLE", Non PerIel, Western Tire "Silver Shield", Four Star "AIRCYCLE" and this tank is off a H.S.C. SUNRACER and think all are from the Chicago areaCH=full]771665[/ATTACH]
