Frozen Crankset Yard Art to Rider

Skidding on my '41 Schwinn Autocycle
I brought a crusty old Schwinn straight bar home from The Burley bike swap in September for my wife to use as yard art. Today I decided to return to my roots and make it a rider. It has sat outside in Pacific Northwest weather (rain) for decades. The crankset was completely frozen. I used a propane torch to break the rust free, and a heat gun to melt the old grease which had congealed solid. Thanks to the layer of grease and dirt coating the sprocket it cleaned up pretty good, the crank chrome did not fare as well. The chain is soaking overnight, tomorrow the hubs get rebuilt and the wheels trued.
