Gillette Bear Bike Tire Display

Pulled this out of storage and noticed decals are flaking. Anyone have a good technique to clean this and also preserve the decals. I lightly blotted it with water. Also was the tire displayed on a rim or wheel originally? Any help appreciated.

Great stand. The only thing I can suggest is to clean it and spray it with a satin (flat) water base clear spray paint.

WAY COOL!!! But I have one question..Whu in the heck was this awesome piece in storage? Still awesome..as for decal Be very cautious. Spray with Icemans idea..Take a whole lot of pictures in high resolution and maybe somebody can do some artwork and make a new decal..
