It’s a spring like steel attached to the glass reflector housing, it goes on your rear fender or rack and has a slight spring like a bobble head action, it clears the fender or rack about 1/2” or so.

Thanks for the explanation OldSkip Tooth. I had one just like that but could never figure out where and how it attached. Now I know.

Maybe whizzer kid didn't know either since he never updated that info.
