Triumph one of the many badges gobbled up by Tube Investments (TI)

fittings which appear to have been changed -

stem

bar

brake calipers

brake levers

saddle

pedals

---

spanner twistin' -

crank arms wildly out of registration

wedgebolts in need of a look-see

juvela there seem to be no original parts on this bike I just didn’t know if was truly worth investing time and money.or just part it out. like mentioned three bikes for twenty $ the second one is a Sears and didn’t want to bring that one home.I was eyeing this.

Wow-so much wrong and the bike isn’t worth the time or investment to bring back. Triumph’s were lower on the quality scale of Raleigh sub-makes and being 1974 isn’t old enough to rate as a vintage or really collectible. It’s a bike that can be ridden -after fixing those half cocked crank arms- and that about all it has going for it, unfortunately. Best suggestion is be patient, do your homework and get the most original, complete and rust free Roadster you can find. Good luck and welcome to the CABE!

depending on the make and model of the Triumph's saddle it could be of greater market value than the machine...

its "penny rivets" are a sign of a first quality model

closest model found in a few minutes of searching is the Brooks Professional Select:

example found lacks the subject saddle's copper coloured nose piece and the saddle bag loops

possible it may be a Professional Select but a differing sub-model...

Pretty good start on a lightweight Lake Pepin ride. A lot of guys replace the brakes, seat post, brake levers, rims and pedals to get the weight down for the tour. Sun Rims sells the CR-18 rim in a 26” size, huge improvement in weight and braking.
That Superbe is the bomb, hope you got it.
