Bike looks absolutely beautiful ! Good you put proper grips on it!

Everyone has their own style and do what makes you happy but from everything I have seen and read, traditionally these bikes had either a rack or a saddle bag but not both. Kind of like wearing a belt with suspenders...
I see ! This is the way I bought it, and the way the original owner rode it all those years until he passed away 15 years ago. Bag is in rough shape, will just use the rack maybe! Thanks for the tip.
 
I love the Sturmey shifter on the top tube. Ironically, I have one, but not on a Raleigh. It's on a 1946 Schwinn Continental.
