I hope you don't mind, I thought I'd add this it relates to the Evinrude's design.

Whoa! So the seat post is physically connected to the bottom bracket! Now I see why there are upper and lower chainstays. The lower one is actually part of the "suspension" and pivots as the seat post/BB assembly pistons up and down. And the "box" is a structural element. But there must be some kind of bushing or cushion between the "box" and bottom bracket. That would make a hell of a clunk on the return stroke...

And with that I'll conclude my half-hijack of this sale thread. I apologize for the interruption, but it's a fascinating piece of construction and I got carried away. Hopefully this will add to the interest in the bike and possibly help with the sale.
