I looked back, I see, not a Schwinn dealer. A repair shop. Sorry.
Thanks for the compliment. Nice guy, Mike, out of eastern NJ. Large collection of Schwinn bikes and parts. Slowly liquidating.
So, where are you located? I see a 70-72 442 in your profile photo. I'm into muscle cars too and you might like this one I have...survivor 69 W30 4 spd. Paint and numbers with 3.91's.

Wow, love seeing this, thanks for posting! It's one of the nicest original paint Ghosts I've ever seen, has that slight champagne tint to it they get over time. Amazing find my friend, congrats @GhostlyOne
Thanks..I'll just add that I was in the right place at the right time and very lucky. It was NOT a steal and not sorry. 2 other GG survivors I recently picked up, barn find is the s**t, 99% untouched with the perfection of patina. The other one is 99% original down to the rubber too.

Oh, and they are both JGs, serial numbers only about 600 between them.

Wow, you sure were, now I know why they call you GhostlyOne! The one is gorgeous like your disc bike!

I have an all original (shifter cable housing replaced) Cotton just like your patina bike that I haven't touched yet either, they could be book ends! This was purchased locally a couple years ago and I've just not touched it yet and may not since I have several other really nice original Cottons. It was hanging in shop with other bikes from ceiling for decades.

Nice Cotton! Survivor anything is tops (of course) but I have a penchant for barn find stuff, especially muscle cars, Krates compliment those and mine was like finding an untouched but krusty LS6 or something of that ilk. Lately I've been on a Krate tear..loving every minute. Better investments than the stupid stock market lately.

I totally agree - the hunt and finding them untouched barn, attic, basement is pure adrenaline!

I was into muscle cars for decades, primarily Olds 442 cars, was an OCA show judge at one point. So much fun back in the day when I could find a nice car for a few grand, detail and tune it over the weekend, then drive the snot out of it. Those days LONG gone. I still have my original AOL email - mscott442. I think the 442.com page may still be out there and some of mine may still be posted. Your black 69 W-30 is an amazing rare specimen! I think my 70 W30 post coupe bench seat 4-speed car is still posted there, check it out! It was at the OCA 100 year Nationals in Lansing and scored high 900's, 1st place restoration. LOL nothing in my garage now but Stingrays and I'm very happy!
