Good day to all vets. Thanks to those who served and still serving.

Its Remembrance Day in Canada, God bless all those that fought for our freedom, both in Canada and the USA. Years ago my daughter had to do something special for the Remembrance Day program in school, I helped her out by sitting down and writing this little rhyme.

I wrote this little sonnet
For the ones that went to war,
That fought and died on battlefield
For freedom evermore.

For those that lie in unknown grave
In a country far from home,
In respect and highest honor
I wrote this little poem.

For those that lived to come back home
Whose nights were wrought with dream.
In restless sleep you fought again
Your country to redeem.

So in our moments silence
We'll bow our heads in prayer.
We'll show them we remember
We'll show them that we care.
