Found this blackout 1/2 inch chainring on eBay, has anyone ever seen a blackout 1/2 inch before? I’ve seen plenty of the skiptooth ones but not one of these.
 
That doesn't look like a pre war Schwinn chain ring to me. Post war so it's probably painted.
