This was a very common tank style back in those days (and prior), but the one you need has a specific detail that makes it easy to identify. The top edge is slightly rounded, whereas other tanks have a flange that is spot welded to a separate sheet of metal for the sides.

would you be able to post a pic of the underside of the seat?
i have one here w/o upholstery, looks to be the same, would like to see how yours is finished on the bottom.
