Hello all. New user after picking up this schwinn

Hello. I picked up this wasp yesterday. Its been painted over. I can see blue paint underneath the flaking yellow. I know its far from minty but i had to have. Do these womens bikes hold any value? And do you know if they have any stamping to rell what year its made. I did look and see the years they were made. Im a sign collector so I know little about bicycles.

I believe the Wasp name was used from 1954 thru 1964 and yours looks like a 54 model if the rims are original. The serial number should be on the left rear dropout above the axle nut and that should give you an idea what year it is.
