Help ID'ing an Elgin

Can anyone help me positively identify the year of this bicycle? I know it's an Elgin by the head badge but that's as far as I can get. Fenders, wheels, and handlebars came with the bike but might not be correct. I've been thinking it's a 1936 but there are no oiling zerks in the bottom bracket. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried finding serial number references but to no avail.

Nice, but that serial number must have been stamped right after the guys 3 pints of beer lunch...

I noticed that odd stamping too. Most Westfield stamps were pretty straight and uniform, at least that I’ve seen. Probably an early bike, before 36? 36 serial numbers started with A.

I've found some matching pictures. 1935 Elgin Oriole manufactured for Sears by H P Snyder. Now to see if I can find a tool box.
