Did you try using a jeweler's loupe to magnify the head badge? Looks like the original photo might be readable since the badge is close to the camera. I do that with tricycle photos I buy off ebay to help in identifying different maker's designs. That way I can many times ID other trikes even if the head badge or decal is missing.
The oval shape of the badge decal looks like a Garton. Some other features of the tricycle like welded spokes, painted handlebar, and straight front fork were used on Garton trikes of the 1950s.
