JC Higgins is a Sears brand. Murray built the bicycle. Probably in 1958 at a guess.

The incomplete smaller stamp looks like it could be MOTS-X. I am not well schooled in all the Murray numbers, but I do know that they sometimes added a letter for specific customers. MOT-X is 1958, S could be for Sears. The middleweight tires and fenders combined with early 50s styling are all consistent with 1958. The handlebars probably belong to some other bike.

the "502" prefix in the Sears product item number indicates a cycle contract manufactured by Murray

they produced a tremendous number of models for Sears through the years...

Looks a lot like a 1959–Y model 502–4751… but might be a year older.

By the mid '50s, they were stamping the catalog #, with an extra 0 or 1 at the end, there it is right on the BB! Apparently they made it both years.
