This bicycle license plate was found in Oregon, but could be from anywhere.
The design and holes remind me of some California plates from the 1930's.

Hoping someone might know where "MBL" is from?

This is exactly why the abbreviated plates do nothing for me.
They could be from anywhere.
I would rather have a plate with the name of the town spelled out and no date, than one with a date and abbreviations.
Unfortunately, it seems like most of the California plates from the 30s used abbreviations, so this plate is most likely Californian.
Could be any town that has a name the begins with an M.
Montecito?

Wow, a lot of M's in California. The guy in Oregon I got it from also guessed Medford, but didn't know. My searches on MBL mainly yielded license plates for larger "motor boat license" plates that go on boat trailers.

This is going on a '38 Majestic, so the "M" is appropriate but mysterious.
