'Lil Knee Scuffer
I saved this bike today while looking at another bike. Best I could figure from my research, it is a mid-30s Hawthorne. The headbadge is missing. Can anyone tell me if this is correct, and if there is anything missing from the bike. This will be one a good project and restoration.

Think your right on the money. My guess is a 1937-1938 Hawthorne with that chain guard, chain ring and flat fender stays. Would be a Snyder built bike for Wards if i'm right.

I agree seat for sure is wrong. Depending on what model it originally was it may be largely complete. The bike is not worth a lot and a true restoration will quickly exceed the value of this bike. If it were something I was keeping as a rider I would refurbish with a service and maybe a spray can paint job (they can look good with proper prep). V/r Shawn

Thanks for the info! I am going to start stripping her down this weekend. Shawn, a rattle can job is what I was thinking too. I think it’ll make a nice rider for someone. Plus, a little practice for the next bike down the road. I’ll post some status photos as I go.
