Help me I.D my bike

im just getting back into the bike hobby after taking a 10 yr brake and just picked up my first Pre-War bike. It’s missing the head badge among allot of other parts that I’d like to start collecting for it but need to know what I’m looking for. Would like to know the year and if it’s a Hawthorn or Rollfast and would also like to find some pictures of what

SO after looking at all 6 pages of the tread mentioned above my bikes not a Zep its a speedster or one of the other less deluxe models. Which other models hade a tank?. Also found the serial number A11494 is there a serial number chart for these somewhere?

I believe that Snyder Little Falls NY used the letter “A” after the last letter “Z” as in 1938-Z and 1939–A.

And 11,494 might be the one after 11,493?
