Help! What is it?

Hi all,
Been awhile since I’ve checked in but I was recently given a Schwinn and I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. Can anyone help me out? Is the bike all original? I thought the back fender has been chopped but the original/only owner does not think he did that. The serial number is 4921618. Appears to be a 2 speed. See pics. Any info is greatly appreciated!

This is under the crank. It’s really throwing me on what the heck it is.

Cycle-Truck Stem, Rear fender is chopped off, Home made Hot Rod from that period of time. May have started out as an American??

The A still makes it a 59.Probably a Speedster. Single decal on seat down tube. Chopped off rear fender and cycle truck handlebar stem (why it's so long) as noted in above post.

^^^^ I agree, 59 Speedster wearing a chain guard off a different bike. Stamping on the bottom bracket was done by one of the owners. Cool set of bars there.
