Look Ma, No Hands!
Hi all,
Been awhile since I’ve checked in but I was recently given a Schwinn and I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. Can anyone help me out? Is the bike all original? I thought the back fender has been chopped but the original/only owner does not think he did that. The serial number is 4921618. Appears to be a 2 speed. See pics. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Not sure of the model but serial number A921618 comes up as a 01/19/59 build date

Cycle-Truck Stem, Rear fender is chopped off, Home made Hot Rod from that period of time. May have started out as an American??

Google '1959 Schwinn' and you can find a 1959 catalog. Scroll down and you'll find a description of the Speedster and a part number for each piece of the bike.
