The easiest way to distinguish them was the manufacturer decal on the seat tube.

Westfield was 501, Murray was 502.

So, the bad news is, the handlebar, the chain wheel, the chain guard, the pedals, the wheelset, the carrier and maybe the fenders are not correct for the bicycle.

This is a Westfield built Elgin.
F is the letter, 1941 is the year.
There should be another date code above it, which will give you the month and year the frame was made, it will be located almost at the junction of the bottom tube to the hanger bracket..
@Mercian may know more about the bike.

@piercer_99 Thanks for the heads up. (-:

With the H9 and the F162178 visible in the above photo, yes, it's Westfield, frame made September 1941, and built up into a bike very shortly after.

Best Regards,

Adrian

In the mid-late 1930's, Sears apparently purchased from upstart Murray, as well as old man Westfield.
The bikes may have shared some features.

An earlier 1938 ad (straight tubes) above shows the Westfield triangle (versus yoke), yet a chain ring often categorized as Murray.
