As a way to limit my bicycle habit, i stick with CCMs, thanks for the consideration though.

What style bottom bracket does your new CCM have?

My friend who has it thought it was early 1920s..I don’t know...it did have one original wooden rim on the front..he’s pretty pleased with the find.
 
They stopped using that style of bottom bracket before 1917 or 18 i believe and were still using skip tooth chains in 1910. There are some guy on vintage ccm that know way more about these years of bikes than me. The model number on the fork would be a good indicator.

Does that read 506? According to the 1918 catalogue, 500 series bikes were branded Red Bird.
