Help with identifying this tricycle please

I found this in the trash the other day and thought I would save it. It has no markings on it, it's been poorly repainted. I've spent a few hours browsing through pictures and have not found anything similar. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a precursor to the Mattel Big Wheel. I would guess late 1960s/early 70s. V/r Shawn

I do agree. I'm disappointed I can't find another picture of one. I do know the original color is a bright red so I'll just take my time with the clean up and hopefully something will surface.

pos. a frankin trike just looking at the weld job on the plate between the handle bars
looks like it started life as one thing and ended up this but looks cool just my 2 cents
