GenuineRides

Wore out three sets of tires already!
I'll admit I do not pay too close attention to Western Flyers, yet the reverse action springer on this one caught my eye so I had to have it. It looks like a K4 Morrow rear hub (4th qtr 1941) and had an interesting two-tone burgundy and red paint scheme at one time(see the underside pic). Who made it? Any info would be appreciated.

This is a short lived date code system Huffman used for Firestone and Western Auto. The H is thought to stand for Huffman, the center letter is a date code, and the W represents Western Auto Stores. I maybe wrong but in the case of Western Auto, the B would represent 1941. I own a Western Flyer with the code: HAW which has a 1940 (brazed attached kickstand). If this bike was a Firestone the B would indicate it was a 1940.
Please post the serial number in the Huffman Serial Number Project; this thread is located in Restoration Tips section of the forum.

Sweet bike, have fun with it!
