if correct, they should exhibit the company's three arrows mark

the machine's Huret model Luxe 700 front gear mech unlikely to be original since the rear mech and shift levers are both Shimano; original front mech may have been something like a Shimano Thunderbird series model

the Cherry brakes are a product of Cherry Industry Co., Ltd of Japan

the "F" and "R" markings on the levers are for front and rear

pedals appear they may be CECOR

Yes, chain rings are marked "3 Arrows".

The crank is a one piece, only marking I found is S 171

The stem is marked Made in Japan, but no manufacturer that I can tell.

Thanks for the replies and information. I hope to get it on the workstand in the next week or so. Curious to see what date stamps I can find on the components. One odd thing about it, there is a hole in the top of the BB. It appears it might have threads, maybe was for a zerk fitting or an oil port of some type?

the manufacturer may have employed one frame to construct more than one model

presence of threaded hole could be for a lubrication fitting as you suggest

could also be an attachment point for a cable guide or pulley

or could be an attachment point for a chainguard bracket

good job locating those markings

other spots to check for possible markings:

a) portion of seat post down inside frame

b) handlebar ends beneath the wrappings

c) steerer

d) backside of brake caliper arms

e) brake levers

f) hub barrels

g) gear block, both front and rear of body; since it is marked Maillard it may not be original to the bicycle. because gear mech ensemble and spoke guard are Shimano one would expect the gear block to be Shimano as well. Maillard labeled gear blocks did not come in until about 1974 and bicycle slightly earlier than that - would expect very early seventies due to details of kitting.

"20" is likely to be a week or fortnight number
