Craig Allen

Finally riding a big boys bike
Now that Victory Bicycles in Florida is kaput, finding replacement hollow rims for project bikes isn't going to be easy. In the past I've tried to make crescent shaped rims with limited success so using Larry Lunz or Diane Blake's rims at Victory made things so much easier. They are a strong and reliable rim. That's all in the past now.
So here is what I've come up with. I built a 30" rim using thin walled EMT electrical conduit. Seeing is believing. This rim easily supports my 200 lbs. WITHOUT any spokes and without any noticeable deflection. The only drawback is it is labor intensive.
Sorry guys, I'm not planning on mass producing them.
