Hop-along Cassidy might be a Snyder-built bike from the middle 1950’s. In addition to the serial sequence number (indicated above), there is usually a date-place code lightly stamped on the bottom bracket (or crank hanger), on the bottom of the bike.

It is the part that the pedal crank is mounted the seat tube, down tube and chain stays all attach to it
