Anybody ever seen a horizontally sprung Troxel?

Found this today searching Google patents.

Only have ever seen the lobdell ones. Perhaps troxel never made these to production and sold the rights to lobdell?

My guess is no.
Andrew J. Linder lived in Elyria, Ohio and he did other saddle designs for Troxel, which was also in Elyria.
So this design patent was most likely also for Troxel.
The Lobdell Torpedo/Horizontal spring saddle came out for the 1936 model year, so it was most likely designed and patent applied for in 1935.
Well in advance of this Troxel application.
It is so similar in design, that my guess is, that Lobdell issued a cease and desist order against Troxel, and the Linder design was never produced.
Just my 2 Cents.

I had read somewhere, that the Horizontal Spring Lobdell saddle was originally designed exclusively for the 1936 Colson Commander.
Colson Corp. was also in Elyria, Ohio.
So, it's possible that Andrew J.Linder designed the Lobdell saddle as well.
Just a wild ass guess, but stranger things have happened.
