Sand blasting is a common media removal process. It generates "friction" between the speed of high-pressure media and the surface you are removing. This friction causes heat. It's no big deal on a cast engine block, or maybe even a ridged bicycle frame. But a thin piece of sheet metal can warp from this heat and pressure. If you choose to blast sheet metal reduce the air pressure, and also reduce the angle of blaster nozzle to the metals surface. Blasting sheet metal that is irreplaceable is a sketchy process.I think sandblasting will be an option…
