Video is interesting but a HUGE disclaimer should be included. My wife has been making plastic and rubber parts for over thirty years professionally. High end restorations of exotic and classic cars. She is very talented with years of experience but she has to fight it sometimes for a perfect part.
First these are chemicals and do not want to always cooperate. Materials are very expensive and vary greatly by source. Especially the silicone for the mold. Be prepared to experience a lot of waste until you get the hang of it. The video shows casting very large parts. Not cost effective and you end up with a plastic lens instead of glass. If you don't have an option than that is what you get. Depends on what your expectations are. In the least you can have some fun trying! Good luck!
