Johnson produced 17,000 Motor Wheels,but when Henry Ford introduced his automobile,sales dried up.That was the impetus for Johnsons revolutionary outboard motor.There were plenty of unsold units held by dealers that continued to trickle out over the following years.The surprising thing is that with so many produced,few Motor Wheels have survived to the present.
