Sunday was riding by the beach enjoying the scenery (if you know what I mean) not paying attention where was going and heard a little scream just in time to look forward and slam on non working brakes to not take out a mom and 4 little girls riding towards me! Boy was close, better fix the brakes hahaha!!!!

Never had a new bike as a kid. Riding the bike that I pieced together from hand me downs and the neighbors old bike I was shooting down the sledding hill at the school yard to hit the jump at the bottom. Flying through the air seemingly forever I watched the front wheel come off. Luckily it was all grass and dirt. The forks dug into the ground upon landing and flipped me straight onto my back knocking the wind out of me. I couldn't answer my buddies asking if I was alright, just gasping for breath. Got lucky really. Kept them axle nuts tight after that. Caught major air on that jump though!

Don't go off-roading with a restored bike that has some cheesy Repro handlebars and try to boom up a hill!

The tank was unscratched and no other damage in this spectacular incident! The Rocket Ray did sproing and fly into a million pieces which we miraculously found and snapped back together. My buddy valiantly rode home with one hand on the bar all the way and then just as we were reaching my shop he gets tagged by a car at low speed and the guy takes off!!!

Just another scratch to the rear fender and another day in the life...

Hooked him up with some bling good repro bars I had on the classified here that noone wanted and he's back on the road immediately. I told him to go straight home.

I was about 4 or 5.............it wasn't a bike but a Big Wheel. I rode those things like a crazy man. Wore out the front and rear tires peeling out and sliding them sideways. I was at a friends house and noticed my Grandpa had come over. I jumped on my Big Wheel and hauled ass home......and as I was getting close to the driveway I turned and yelled something back at my friend. That was the last thing I remember - I ran square into the back of his 1959 Biscayne and knocked my self out cold. Talk about a knot / egg on my head......cut but no stitches. Every time I see the fins of a late 50's Chevy that's the first thing I think of. Funny now - not so much back then :)
