Look Ma, No Hands!
Does anyone have any information on this bike? It’s a Splendor I’ve been told it’s about 40-45 years old pretty immaculate condition. I cleaned it up for the owner; he’s asking what’s it’s worth, etc. I couldn’t find any information about this brand. The person he got it from was the original owner; she brought it from South America when she moved here to NY.

Any marking on the hubs? A better pic of the head tube decal? I'm thinking $50-100. Just not a lot of interest in these types of bikes. I'd say late '70's is about right as far as age. V/r Shawn

I should’ve snapped a pic of the head tube. When I see it again I will.

appears as though may be of German origin

there is some writing on the seat tube transfer, see if you can read it the next visit

the chainguard bears a symbol, perhaps you will be able to make it out

both stay bridges are ESGE plate style

pedals are either WECO or Union

front hub may be either WECO or Union

welded fork crown is a BOCAMA pattern IIRC

wheel rims may be Marcel Schurman

this pattern of lady's frame is termed a berceau, french for cradle

one possible clue to national origin might be the rim/tyre size

it will either be marked 26" or 650...

a number of latin american countries have good sized German immigrant communities

members ofttimes show a preference for goods from "the old country"...
