Do we have a proper place in the forum to ask for Identifying old bikes? Or is this the proper place to ask?

I would think you are in the right category. Post some pictures and i am sure someone will give a shot at answering your questions.

A new and separate single thread may be preferred, for true unknowns, rather than tagging on to an existing or old thread, about someone else’s bike, or duplicating questions in 2 or more places.
The general category is good if one is not sure whether the bike is pre-1933, classic, middleweight, lightweight, etc.
And, welcome to the CABE.
