Cruisin' on my Bluebird
this will be the last bike that I will list before winter

Incredible original 1897 ladies Crescent model 10, Western Wheel Works, Chicago, Ill.
This is the best most complete original condition ladies bike that I have seen
I have had this bike for years and never done anything to it, not even dusted it :)
the black paint with original green pin-striping is very nice, still shines
has all original Crescent parts
-great cork Crescent grips
-very nice Crescent pedals
-rare original Crescent seat (leather is deteriorated but it's there)
very nice original wheels, tied spokes, with original Crescent hubs ...... wheels are even stamped with 1893 & 1895 patent dates
superb wooded chain-guard and rear fender

IMO ...... this bike has it all

Pictures tell the story. Please ask if you need more detailed pictures.
Asking USD$2200 shipped. USD$50 by PayPal f&f and a personal check for the rest.

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
A "Wheelman" fellow thinks that this bike is not all original because :
1. The handlebars are not wood like "the Crescent selling at copake"
2. Because the headbadge is positioned too far down on the head tube (to his professional Wheelman opinion, a TOC headbadge should be in the center of the head tube)
And
3. The tires look too new

Hmmmm ...... What should I reply to all those serious professional interrogations?

So just to be clear, my bike is all original except for the obvious new, not period correct tubes and tires.
And no I do not know if you can ride on those tires at a Wheelman rides because I would never dare ride original wood rims and original seats. I am too tall and heavy for that.

I should also point out that the rear fender lacing has surely been redone since 1897! If that was not already obvious.

Also, he thinks that since copake values their Crescent at $300-$400 as an auction estimate, my bike should be worth close to that .....
