Finally riding a big boys bike
Hey Guys, I was wondering if there was a trick to installing Cross-Bar Handle Bars? Thanks!
-Connor

Thin style... remove stem bar cinch bolt, slide bar onto neck opening and then slip x-bar end tab through neck opening and on thru.
Thick early x-bar... same procedure, except may need to pry cinch opening apart a bit. Pry Slooooowly as to not crack metal and just enough to get x-bar end tab through. use what ever tool will not damage your stem.
Note: Make sure bars are not going on backwards! Ha!

snapring pliers are handy for this

Classic technique for spreading the cinch open: Pull out the bolt flip it over and start threading it in from underneath. Put a penny or something in the slot and slowly tighten the bolt. When done back out the bolt and remove the penny.

Ok, I'll try that.

Thanks everyone for all of your help!
