I met up with the 2021 Cannonballers in Arkadelphia Ar. and found that all of them were very nice and warm people. The thoughts of snobs with plenty money and attitudes is far from the truth. With 60 yrs. of riding myself I truly enjoyed seeing the old iron actually on the road with all the real problems of the designs instead of museum pieces that do nothing for me. Been to Dale`s, been to Barber`s and a gob of others. Nice places but does`t compare with the Cannonball or Cross country event. My 2 cts.

After owning and riding 2 old Indians (1944 Essential Civilian Use Chief and a 1941 741) I know the joy and the dark side of long distance riding one of these old machines. I also did the Interstate Batteries Great Race in 1995 in a 1937 Hudson Terraplane - Ottawa Canada to Mexico City. Keeping old machinery operating is a challenge not lightly taken. Kudos to the motorcyclists on this run, hope they are all sucessful and SAFE!

47 Indian chief and a 41, 741 restored and ridden. I agree with you 100%. My back still hurts from that 741. Cannonballers have to be in very fit condition in order to endure suspensions on pre 1930 bikes Richard.
