Finally riding a big boys bike
I had planned on having my original seat which was just a base and rusted out pan sent out and properly restored, but this seat came along for sale. It is for my 1920ish Excelsior. It seems any Troxel I see that is for a motorbike model has the eyelets on the back for a tool pouch. As you can see this seat has no eyelets. I am just wondering what seat I actually have and what it is for? I know there are many people here that know their details in and out.
Thanks

I've had a lot of these seats were the back trip with the toolbox eyes has either rotted off, or been ripped off. I'm guessing that's what happened to this one. If you have your other pan recovered, who ever does it should be able to put the trip and eyes on it.

I really like the paint scheme. Please post again when finished. Thanks.
