there is or was an Etablissements Cycles Leroux located at Place Edouard in Nantes, France
the professional cycling team of Essor, Leroux, Hutchinson was sponsoring cycling champions in 1957
in 1961 the team was called Alcyon Leroux
for the racing season of 1962 this team name changed to Gitane-Leroux
by 1966 it had become Helyett-Leroux
here is an image of cycling champion Jacques Anquetil riding for the team
Helyett-Leroux-Fynsec-Hutchinson
if you enlarge the image somewhat you will be able to see that his water bottle bears a Leroux silkscreen -
the Leroux name in connection with cycles can be a (slight) source of confusion.
there was and is another Leroux which sponsored a cycling award/prize. they are a maker of chicory products.

unfortunately no first name or initial is given
possible it may be Robert
no way to know as yet if any connection to Cycles Leroux
this is said to be the cycle ridden in the event
note that the transfers are in the Belgian national colours
