Is this a '41 Colson?

-

LIFE OF SCHWINN

I live for the CABE
I purchased this today to make a Klunker out of it. Seller said it's a '41 Colson.
I looked up Colsons from that period and can't really confirm?
He said frame/fenders/crank/chainguard are Colson and rack Monarch stem/bars Schwinn, seat/wheels newer/
I know the stem is a Schwinn Razor and bars look like '50s Schwinn, but that's all I can figure out?
I would appreciate any insight....
Thanks

I bought it locally. It appears to be pre-war with drop outs? What year Shelby do you think it is?
I'm going to Klunk it with newer 26" BMX parts.

Prewar rear fork ends are not considered drop outs. A drop out faces forward.

Check this one out.

I looked up '38 Shelby and did not see a model with this chain guard? Guessing this is a lower model? Sprocket looks like '41 and newer. I also noticed Western Flyers and Hiawathas in search. I'm assuming Shelby made those?
It's apart and ready for paint.... thinking Flamboyant lime....
