On Training Wheels
Cool looking klunker with character. When I first started out I might have paid 200 tops if it is ready to ride. Frame beat up, springer fork and maxxis ardent knobbies are a plus. Now Ive got too many bikes and more selective, 100 tops. Maybe ask 150 if it is ready to ride.
Looks like frame modified for integrated kickstand? Headtube fork gap seems more than usual in pic?

That’s honestly why I like it…the character on the frame. Thanks for your input!

Headtube fork gap looks abnormal. Seems that fork steerer too long perhaps donor from girl bike. That eliminates the coolness of springer. You'll need replacement fork, lower bearing or cut rethread steerer. I think fork should have tire clearance for fenders but pic looks barely for tires. Who knows what other issues. Currently doesn't look ready to ride. Also, not issue but front sprocket looks 24t from girl bike.

It looks like they used a spacer on top of the lower fork bearing race & hopefully another race on top for the longer steer tube. Be sure to check it for a bend in steer tube. Think I'd reverse this with spacer at top if I were into jerry rigging but everyone has their method.😅 Cool bike with easily resolved issues for a decent rider. $150 tops. Price of the fork.

I love this style frame but like the others have noted, it’s got a few issues. The crown race on the CWC fork I used with a similar frame was also a mess. The forks steerer tube OD is a strange size so finding a modern replacement crown race is not possible as far as I could tell. I imagine the gap between the fork crown on this bike is related to that issue. @Mr. Monkeyarms may be right with a spacer tube and second race on top of that… but boy is that funky looking. Why not make the spacer shorter than that and why not give the new race a bigger platform? Here are some pics of how I bodged mine together:

So maybe the girls springer forks have a bulge near the 1”-24 threads (hidden), so that the forks could not easily be cut down to fit, (along with the top truss rods).
