Is this Torpedo hub correct for a 57 Schwinn Corvette?

I found a 1957 Schwinn Corvette with a Torpedo 3Gang hub in the rear wheel, is that correct? I’ve never seen that type of hub on a Schwinn. View attachment 1512441

As of a few minutes earlier I've never heard or seen one on a Corvette. Haven't seen it mentioned in any Schwinn lit either. I assume it's laced up to an S-7 rim.

Yes, it is laced to a S7 rim. I did read somewhere online that Schwinn was having some problems with SA hubs that year. Waiting to see if anyone else knows anything about this.

The Austrian hub was used when SA had a production problem in late 58-59.
