EastsideSchwinn

Finally riding a big boys bike
Hello folks, I'm in search of a Springer fork for a 1941 Ladies Schwinn.. this one I believe to be a one year only with a steering tube measuring 7 7/16"s or 7 1/2" depending on you tape measure..lol.. the head tube on my frame comes in at 6" without cups. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I would think a 7" steering tube would work. Have you tried one?
I will look for what length you asked for. I'll lyk 🤞
I have.. it almost works.. but the spring and coupler won't line up correctly. The distance between the pivot bolt and the top of the fork legs is also longer.

I have the correct girls springer fork with the longer fork legs. I might just have to change out the steering tube. Thats it. I'll look into it tomorrow afternoon.
Does it have to be a locking neck or will a non locking neck work?

Non locking is fine.. I'll ask a friend of mine that has one to measure.. I know the legs on the 41 are Longer than a post war, but also shorter than that of a Ladies 39 or 40..

Funny story, I was looking for a 39 and found one.. ended up being a 41 and was too short.. sold it to a buddy of mine, and now I need it..lol.. that's how I know it's an odd size. Thanks for your help.
