ISO 1966 Coppertone Stingray Deluxe chain guard

Looking for a deluxe wing tip chain guard (not reverse screened) in Coppertone for a 1966 three speed I'm building for a friend. Like the one in the photo.

Was the '66 a thumb shift? Just wondering when that changed to stik shift

It is a thumb shift. I believe it became a stick shift in 68 when the Krate bikes came out

are you sure the stick wasn't added on later? All my research is saying 68

Actually just saw a stick shift in the 67 catalog on a fast back

and it was available in 66 as well on the fastback, but the catalog shows a thumb shift on the regular stingray

No, I don’t see a ‘66 “thumb shifter” in your post.
The first year for the thumb shifter on a Stingray was mid 1965.
1966 was the first year for the “stick shift” 3 speed shifter.
