Finally riding a big boys bike
1950’s J.C. Higgins chainguard.
I have no idea where I got this or how it ended up in my collection.
Obviously has been repainted. Metal is very straight with one very small dent as indicated with screwdriver tip pointing at it in photos. If I were going to use this and repaint it I would probably put a little spot of body filler on it in that spot but it is very minor.
In the right light you can still read J.C. Higgins. I put a little Goof Off on it and revealed the “S” in Higgins. If someone was careful it might be savable- but it’d be a tough road.
