Can any one help me identify this bicycle I know it’s a J.C. Higgins but I don’t know what model it’s is but it’s most likely a colorflow.

Built by Murray Ohio for Sears about 1955.
Check out the Murray serial number thread.
MOU = Murray Ohio 1955.
The 45,440 may reflect a model number.

4544 0 would be the model number. Here's the 56 catalog and the decked out model is 4546. Model number increased for the 56 model year?

Probably not as much as it will cost you to find all the pieces to rebuild it. Someone has also replaced the Murray chain ring with a Schwinn cloverleaf.

Check out the For Sale on CL forum. There's a complete bike for sale listed on Chicago CL.

Looks like it might have been a darker red, and then maybe later painted black, but it is difficult to ascertain from pictures.
