I recently bought a 1951 schwinn built
Bf Goodrich I was told it was a DX after
Unpacking it I think it's a B model.... anyone have any insight into Goodrich bikes?

Definitely not a DX. Have checked the serial number to determine the year?

In 1951 the BF Goodrich Leader model used that style frame. Their version of the Panther did as well, but with a different style paint job.
You could put a Schwinn badge on it and it becomes a Hornet.

I'm assuming these frames didn't come with tanks?...

They did. Straight bar tanks, however, do not come cheap. Do a search for Schwinn Hornet to see the type used.
