I am looking for the correct stem for a 1963 Schwinn American King Size. The one on the bike now is not correct and has play in it. Tim

Make sure you get a pre ‘66, they are a larger diameter. You probably have a ‘66 - up, giving you the play

Here are some pics of said stem. It is certainly pre ‘66 but I have always been bad at trying to read date stamps. It was pulled from a Feb ‘65 King Size.
