I live for the CABE
Howdy CABErs-
While many of you are familiar with Krusty the Clown of Simpsons fame, I'd like to introduce you to Krusty the Crown. Built by Great Western Manufacturing Company of LaPorte, Indiana in the early 20s, it sports a Fauber crank and chainring (and associated notched bottom bracket housing). The once maroon base color has weathered to a warm brick red. Vestiges of fender striping and head darts still cling to the original paint. The wheelset consists of matching 28" clinchers with modern tires. It's actually wild how nice the bad boy rolls. I'm thrilled to have been able to give this wonderful old machine a second chance at life. Ride in good health everyone and trust the krust (but only to the point of structural integrity).
