Wore out three sets of tires already!
Just picked this up, but I'm not familiar with the frame design. Everything has been powder coated and I'm pretty sure some parts have been changed. It has Lobdel 26x1 3/8" wheels blackout morrow hub, hour glass front hub, Troxel deluxe saddle. Any information or insight on the frame would be very much appreciated!

Very good observations hoofhearted! I didn't look at it all that closely. Definitely looks like a home job from a boys bike. Closer pics of the welds and evidence of a top bar under the seat.
Any idea who the original manufacturer might be? Era? The wheels say wartime to me, but I'm guessing this is a total hodgepodge.

Wow. Older than I thought! Thanks again for such great information.
Looks like this has had a few lives in the past 100 years

It would be interesting to measure that bent upper tube and see if the dimensions match up with this having been a camelback or motorbike frame originally. With that chainring could it have been a Davis built Elgin for Sears? Just a wild thought in the dark...

I wonder if older brother trashed his bike frame but handy dad rescued it for little sister, if only the bike could text us from the great beyond.;

I've seen a lot of girls made into boys. This is the first one that I remember going the other way.
